Colour: Pale straw with cucumber green hues.
Nose: The nose shows aromas of fresh granny smith apple and
passionfruit souffle with subtle nuances of gooseberry and
almond.
Palate: Vibrant elegant palate with depth of flavour completed by
a crisp citrus acidity. Brilliant length and line.
It was an early start to the vintage. Winter rains were about average. An unusually dry hot December and January followed; with only a few intermittent showers in late January. This led to a promising start to the vintage. Whites were off early, picked in the cool crisp dawns resulting in some wonderful fresh and vibrant wines.
An intriguing blend where the palate weight and length of Chenin Blanc complements the tropical aromas and forward fruit flavours of Sauvignon Blanc. Sauvignon Blanc's punchy fruit flavour and Chenin Blanc's zesty, racy acidity, makes this an ideal wine with food.
Fresh seafood and salads.
Predominantly matured in stainless steel to retain a fresh fruit focus while 20% of the final blend was matured for three months in seasoned French oak barrels for texture and complexity.
